What I saw here amongst these cadets was a relationship beyond friendship. I witnessed kinship, belongingness, family. A common trait which runs through them all is their spirit of honour, dedication and respect.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from. It doesn't matter which school you went to or who your friends are. It doesn’t matter what language you speak, which religion you follow or what your rituals are.. these are just descriptions of which they care trifle little about.
They have a thing with people. They seem to instantly understand them. They realize value and know their morals, attitude and chivalry. These men are guardians of civilization, leaders and custodians of faith who can never give up in the search for possibilities within the darkest spaces and hence symbolize for me the greatest epitome of hope.
The exquisite ball of the academy celebrates this spirit.
And I am simply overwhelmed by this novel experience.
I raise my toast to these brave men and their impeccable character.
To the Academy Cadet Captain! *clink, clink*
